This course has been specifically developed to train the nominated person(s) and responsible person(s) in the business the roles, responsibilities and duties of the Fire Warden.
In this module we look at the legislation applicable to fire safety in the workplace.
Here we will look at fire spread and the development of fire.
Fire Marshall's must have an understanding of the purpose of a fire risk assessment and how to use it.
Here we will look at the fire protection and prevention measures in the workplace.
We will look at what is required for evacuations and signs. We will then look at your specific plans and signage to gain workspace awareness.
Finally, we will look at the requirements of emergency plans and procedures and then look at your specific procedures to confirm roles and responsibilities.
Throughout the training delegates will be observed by the instructor and asked questions to confirm knowledge. At the end of the session there will be a short multiple choice question paper to confirm all learning points. Delegates will receive a certificate from Benchmark Fire Safety on completion of their training. This will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of completion. We recommend that refresher training is carried out annually to ensure competency.
